'Jesus is not remembered' in cities where people depend on 'wheels' to get them where they are going! However, Jesus went about in person, and 'on foot'! The poet is a retired Church of England priest and member of the Third Order of Saint Francis, known for his three incumbencies in the Diocese of London, which he served for thirty years. Active in retirement ministry within the Diocese of Rochester and Bromley, Kent, he compiled a 'Prayer Journal' which he entitled 'House of Bread' (2015). A contemplative in the Anglo-Catholic tradition, his poems, together with his paintings, reflect the London setting of his ministry. 'These poems, prayers and paintings encourage the reader to be mindful, to stop ‘doing’ so much, and to reserve some time each day for silence and just ‘being’. It was created by Father Bruce, a retired priest, with many of the images inspired by London’s waterways or by simple rural scenes.'
